Background/History – How Did Your Enterprise Start?
Driven by our passion for high-end perfumes, my husband and I pursued extensive training in perfume-making with the intent of creating scents for personal use. Back when we were single, indulging in luxury fragrances was part of our lifestyle. However, after starting a family, buying expensive perfumes became less of a priority.
We initially made perfumes for ourselves and later shared them with friends. At the end of 2024, the company where I worked announced major changes. Facing uncertainty about the future, we saw an opportunity to turn our passion into a business. This became the perfect moment to pursue something we loved—and so, Rocass Scents was born. The name is inspired by our two children, Rod and Cassy—our reason for existing.
Living in Batasan, I see many women who stay at home, searching for ways to support their families financially. I want to empower them by offering training and livelihood programs, giving them... More
Shepherd’s Deli began in 2019 with a simple but profound journey. Family friend introduced us to European sausage-making. What started as casual curiosity quickly grew into a deep passion. We were captivated by the balance of spices, the intricate techniques, and the process of turning simple ingredients into exceptional meat products. But our story goes back further than that. Our love for food is rooted in childhood memories of family meals, where every bite was an expression of love and togetherness. These moments inspired us to preserve beloved family recipes for tocino and longganisa, dishes that bring warmth to the table and remain at the heart of everything we create. With just a humble dream and a deep respect for tradition, we set out to blend the rich flavors of our heritage with the meticulous craftsmanship we had learned. Over the years, Shepherd’s Deli has grown beyond what we ever imagined. From selling at small local bazaars to becoming a trusted partner of renowned establishments like... More

Their education journey was marked by financial struggles, often pretending to eat while waiting to see if there was enough rice. To make ends meet, Elvira learned to sell goods, adding as little as ten pesos to their income. College expenses added to their challenges, prompting her children to walk to school to save on fare. Despite the hardships, their determination never wavered.
One day, her child proposed starting a business with Nanay's shrimp paste, which became a success. Visitors' contributions kick-started their venture, leading to the expansion of their product line to include chili garlic and vinegar, now their best-sellers. Even while her children were still in school, profits from the business supported their transportation expenses and projects. Elvira ensured to set aside the capital so they... More
