Spiced by Faith: A Pastil Story

Spiced by Faith began with a simple love for pastil—a love that started at home with my kids. It was their favorite baon, a meal they always looked forward to. Seeing how much they enjoyed it, I decided to refine the recipe, making it not only delicious but also convenient for more people to enjoy. Then life threw us a challenge. My husband lost his job, and suddenly, our future felt uncertain. But instead of letting fear take over, we chose faith. That’s when the idea
of turning my pastil into a business was born.

Launching Spiced by Faith wasn’t easy. We went through several trials and adjustments to perfect our recipe. Finally, on January 30, we officially launched. It was a leap of faith, and every step forward was filled with determination. But the journey wasn’t without struggles. We faced price inflation, late-night production after my full-time job, and tough competition in the market. To stand out, I applied my expertise as a QA and food safety practitioner, ensuring strict hygiene, proper storage, temperature control, and sterilized bottling. This commitment to quality gave our customers confidence in both the taste and safety of our product.

Then, an unexpected blessing came our way. On March 12, we were invited to participate in the Pop QC Bazaar—for free. It was an incredible opportunity, one that we hadn’t even dared to hope for. Seeing people try our pastil, appreciate the taste, and come back for more confirmed what we already believed: Spiced by Faith was more than just a business—it was a purpose.

Today, we continue to grow, but we know this is just the beginning. Our next goal is to expand our reach by selling on online platforms. We want more people to experience the convenience of enjoying delicious, home-cooked pastil wherever they are. Whether through food delivery apps, online stores, or new partnerships, we are committed to making Spiced by Faith more accessible to those who crave authentic flavors made with love and faith. Every bottle of pastil carries our story—of resilience, love, and unwavering faith. From school baon to bazaars, from struggles to
success, Spiced by Faith is proof that even in the hardest times, faith and perseverance can open doors.
