Turmeric Ginger Tea Bombs (Flu/Cold Tea Bombs)

Turmeric Ginger Tea Bombs are one of the most underrated instant tea recipes to help soothe a cold. Not only are they easy to make, they also help save so much time for when you want a quick relief during the flu season but don’t have the energy to go through the hassle. If you have these immunity cold bombs sitting in the fridge, you can make your instant tea just by dropping one bomb in hot water!

Turmeric vs. Ginger

Turmeric and ginger can taste quite similar if you aren’t a frequent consumer, but they differ in taste and benefits they excel in.

Ginger is a rhizome that originated from ancient China and India and is versatile enough to be used both as a spice and medicine. It is best for menstrual cramps and respiratory, thyroid, and digestive function. It has a warm, spicy, and slightly sweet taste in contrast to turmeric which has an earthy, peppery, and slightly bitter taste. Turmeric on the other hand, also originated from Southeast Asia (India still being the primary producer), and is best for osteoarthritis, regulating cholesterol levels, and even depression.

Benefits of Ginger and Turmeric Tea

Ginger and Turmeric when combined together is just one powerful substance. They share a lot of benefits such as immune function, inflammatory response, cognitive and liver function, microbiome health, metabolic funtion, and minor pain management. Even in taste, they are highly complementary due to their contrasting flavors.

For the convenience of this recipe, we’ll use Sanlo’s instant salabat powder with turmeric from Azius Ventures. Just mix the powder with hot water for an instant concentrated ginger and turmeric mix.
