Easy Korean Soy-Marinated Eggs Recipe (Mayak Eggs)

The best meals and dishes don’t always have to take hours to cook, just take Korean soy-marinated eggs or mayak eggs for example! They use common ingredients, require no heat, and take less than 20 minutes to prepare — such simple steps for the perfect gooey, flavorful eggs good for any time of the day.

This lazy meal idea, despite the categorization, doesn’t give “lazy” for its nutrient content considering the health benefits of egg. Do you know how much protein there is in an egg? An average egg contains 6-7 grams of protein. Two full eggs contain about 12-14 grams of protein which make up a significant amount of daily recommended intake (which is 0.8/kg).

What makes this version of Mayak eggs special is little twist in our ingredient list. Instead of using your regular garlic cloves, we’ll be using Chili Ni Paul Spicy Crunchy Garlic Bits for a more concentrated garlic taste and a punch of heat. For a pure and natural hint of sweetness, we’ll be using Tasty Bites Wild Honey!

Fun fact, mayak in Korean means “narcotic” or “drug,” which makes “mayak eggs” translate lierally to “drug eggs.” But of course, the recipe doesn’t contain any illicit or harmful substance, it really just implies how addictive it is.

This dish is the perfect protein boost for an on-the-go lunch or a quick side to your favorite Korean dishes. So if you're on the hunt for egg recipes that require minimal effort but are qute big on taste, this is it! Pair these with a steaming bowl of rice, tuck them into a bento box, or slice them over noodles. You can even enjoy them straight from the fridge.

How long do mayak eggs last in the fridge?

Mayak eggs can last up to 7 days in the fridge. However, they are best consumed within 3-4 days for fresh and optimal taste.
