Easy Belgian Waffles Recipe

Making the perfect breakfast waffles that’s filling and sweet yet just right for a light meal can be tricky. But the famous belgian waffles, in contrast to regular American waffles, are much lighter and airier with its deep pockets and crunchier outside. They absorb syrups much better too, resulting in more flavorful bites!

Now a good waffle doesn’t entirely depend on texture, airiness, or crunch — it all boils down to taste and how they satisfy your tongue.

For an easy waffle recipe that’s classic yet tasty, we’ll be using Ecofry Vegetable Oil and Baker’s Delite Whip Creme from O-Superstore

2 cups flour

4 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons sugar

2 large eggs, divided

2 cups milk

½ cups Ecofry Vegetable Oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

Powdered sugar

1 cup Baker's Delite Whip Creme / Cream Paste

3 tablespoons Farm Brothers Maple Syrup


Preparation

Directions

  1. Preheat a waffle iron to medium-high heat.
  2. In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar.
  3. Separate your egg yolks into a large bowl, and your egg whites in a separate, smaller bowl.
  4. In a large bowl mix together egg yolks, milk, oil, and vanilla.
  5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined.
  6. Whip the egg whites for 2-3 minutesuntil stiff peaks form. Fold whipped egg whites into the waffle batter.
  7. Spray your waffle iron generously with nonstick spray and pour batter into the iron.
  8. Cook according to your waffle iron's instructions.Your waffle should have a nice golden color but not be too crisp.
  9. Serve with toppings!

Homemade whipped cream topping

  1. In a bowl, combine your cream paste and pure maple syrup.
  2. Whip until stiff peaks form.
